Synopsis: It's the first day of high school and Harry Dunne (Derek Richardson), who was previously home schooled by his mom (Mimi Rogers), needs someone to show him the ropes. Lloyd Christmas (Eric Christian Olsen), who lives in the school's basement with his adoptive dad/school custodian Ray (Luis Guzman), turns out to be just the guy. As the two set out to crack the "big show" (aka high school), they unwittingly fall into the web of the corrupt Principal Collins (Eugene Levy) and his girlfriend, head lunch lady Ms. Heller (Cheri Oteri), who want them to be the first students in a phony "special needs" class in order to bilk $100,000 in grant money for themselves. Harry and Lloyd bumble into a shot at greatness when a supreme act of stupidity at the school's Thanksgiving Day Parade turns the tables on Principal Collins.
