Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage 'To be a good actor you have to be something like a criminal, to be willing to break the rules to strive for something new.'

Each role seems to bring a brand new persona for Cage, as he continues to challenge fans with his onscreen artistry. Born Nicolas Kim Coppola, Cage spent a good deal of his early acting years trying to survive on the merits of his own work, not the greatness of his uncle, Francis Ford. Changing his name early in his career to make his own reputation, he succeeded brilliantly with a host of quirky roles in the 1980s.

The son of Italian literature professor August and German dance choreographer Joy Vogelsang, he spent many summers with his uncle and family developing a deep appreciation of film. Initially studying theatre at Beverly Hills High (though he dropped out at 17), he enrolled at the American Conservatory Theater and began pursuing his passion full time.

His debut came in the classic Fast Times at Ridgemont Hig
