Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio Leonardo was born in Hollywood, California on November 11, 1974 to a German mother and an Italian father, who soon separated after his birth. Having been exposed to the world of underground art from an early age, Leonardo was instilled with a sense of creativity. Early on, he thought of becoming an actor and he attended summer courses in performance art while at elementary school.

Leonardo started auditioning in 1988, at the age of 14, and appeared in a series of commercials and educational films. His first regular gig was on the TV series Parenthood, (which lasted three episodes). His first movie was the B-grade feature, Critters III (1991). The same year, he was invited to join the cast of the hit ABC sitcom, Growing Pains.

The big break came in 1992 when Michael Caton-Jones cast Leonardo in the much sought after role of Tobias Wolff in This Boy's Life. Co-staring alongside Robert DeNiro, the project continues to be one of his favorite
