Biography
Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg was born one of 9 children. He grew up on the streets of Boston and developed a reputation less than stellar. Partly thanks to older brother Donnie being discovered and made a part of the original boy band, New Kids on the Block, Mark found his way on to the rap scene. The song "Good Vibrations" along with giant Calvin Klein underwear ads in Time Square brought fame to Mark, not necessarily respect. Penny Marshall saw something she liked in the tough kid from Massachusetts so she cast him in her film Renaissance Man. His performance was solid and allowed him to work on his next film, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Basketball Diaries. The film Fear gave a glimpse of what looked like a commanding presence on the screen, and with his role in Boogie Nights, the persona of one Marky Mark was washed away, and left in its place was Mark Wahlberg, a serious and critically acclaimed actor. More praise was on its way for him in Three Kings, a story about the Gulf
