Biography
John Leguizamo
John Leguizamo John Leguizamo is a character actor made good. While he hasn't reached the annals of fame as, say, a Tom Cruise (who has, really, except for Tom Cruise?), Leguizamo has the distinction of being a well known name in the business despite the fact that he doesn't tend to star in the films in which he appears. With a memorable face and a very memorable slate of performances behind him, this man is a good place to begin an exploration of the best of cinema in the last couple of decades.

Born in Colombia, Leguizamo both writes and acts, which makes for a powerful combination. He won critical acclaim not too long ago for his one-man parody show, "Mambo Mouth" where he portrayed a number of Latino characters. His career as a famous movie man began on the New York stage, after which he got a fair bit of attention after playing opposite Sean Penn in Casualties of War (1989). Because of this success, he went on to make a string of big blockbuster films that didn't give him too
