Lasse Hallstrom
Lasse Hallstrom One of Sweden's most renowned directors, Lasse Hallstr?m is a three times Academy Award nominee, with a knack for making unsentimental coming-of-age films and gentle light-comedy dramas.

The son of an amateur filmmaker, Hallstr?m was born in Stockholm on June 2, 1946. He began his professional career in high school when he made a short film about some schoolmates who had formed a band. The film was shown on Swedish television, and Hallstr?m went on to do more TV work. His 1973 televised film about Swedish youth, Shall We Go to My or to Your Place or Each Go Home Alone? was so well received that he was able to make his feature film directorial debut - a romantic drama called En Kille och en tjej (A Guy and a Gal) in 1975.
